Who We Are
Heyltex Corporation was founded in 1979 as a subsidiary of Heyl chemisch-pharmazeutische Fabrik, Berlin Germany. We started off with manufacturing collagen in our facility in Houston, Texas and went on to be selected as the exclusive supplier of collagen for Estee Lauder® world wide in the 1980’s, to nationwide distribution of Dimaval® (DMPS) in the 1990's, to collaborating closely with our parent company during the FDA approval process for Radiogardase® (Prussian blue insoluble capsules); since 2004 we have been the exclusive distributor of Radiogardase® in the United States.
Today we are strategically focusing on providing products and solutions to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, specializing in the sales, marketing, and distribution of niche pharmaceuticals. We are planning to expand the company's product portfolio and market presence by in-licensing, acquiring, and distributing specialty pharmaceuticals, particularly pharmaceutical products related to Homeland Security.
Our parent company, Heyl chemisch-pharmazeutische Fabrik, is an independent family owned chemical / pharmaceutical business that was founded by Dr. Werner Heyl in 1926. When his son, Dr. Eduard Heyl, took over the company in the 1970's, he started a growth process that has lasted for almost 40 years. His philosophy today is the same as it was then: work with a clear business concept, concentrate on specialty fields, and use and promote the strengths you already possess.
Heyl's strategic areas of expertise include specialty fine chemicals (Liquid Crystals), antidotes for heavy metal and radiation poisoning, and active pharmaceutical ingredient production including custom synthesis.
